Yeah, I needed it explained to me. It's how many people have identified you as a 'friend'.

Look- I'll do it to you (by going to your profile and clicking the 'add friend' button) you return the favour and I might just realise my ambition of being more popular than...er...christobeldag

Even though it shows Goin_South as joining in '06, he has been here for a lot longer than that. Different handles, but GS has been here a lot longer than '06.

The Duck was telling me last night about trout fishing in Pasto. Not many Gringos fly that far south in Colombia, as Pasto is close to the Ecuador border. He may be a Cajun Gringo , but he is good natured and would not scalp anybody.

Robert Jorge says on Apr 1, 2008, 06:46:

That's a sometimes affectionate, often derogatory term for back-woods living cajuns. Coonasses are like hillbillys, except live in French, southern Louisiana.

A common introduction conversation here in NW Florida, when meeting somebody from southern Louisiana who has a French last name, is: "I am Louis Beauchamp. I come from south of the lake, but I'm not coonass."

Juanes, the tourists we get here in the Destin area are primarily from southern states or the midwest. I wouldn't call them "homely" though. A good portion of them are strikingly beautiful. Most are wealthy.
