Excellent Spanish/English Computer Translation program!

Does anybody know if there is a good software that I can install on my computer to correct punctuation in Spanish?

Just change the language in MS word MS word will correct your punctuation if you mark the text as Spanish. Select all the text in a doc and go Tools/language/Spanish.

So if I type a document in Spanish than I select all the text in a doc and go Tools/language/Spanish, all words that need tildes will be corrected and Spanish punctuation or letter will be available?

MS Word Yes, most recent versions of MS Word have a Spanish dictionary and grammar. It's actually better to change the language before typing the document rather than after, but either way works.

FREE... Why not use Google? It is FREE and pretty good. Go to Google.com, click on "language tools" on the right side of your screen. From there you can convert languages until you are blue in the face!

computer translators I've never found a computer translator, online or off, that didn't totally mangle all but the most rudimentary sentences. For example:

"Nunca he encontrado un traductor de la computadora, en línea o apagado, que no lo hizo totalmente rodillo todo solamente las oraciones más rudimentarias. Por ejemplo:" from Google.

And that's actually better than most computer translations. It's quite fascinating, actually, that translation is so subtle and subjective that it's impossible to program a computer to do right.

No wonder... No wonder NOBODY responds to my posts in Spanish?!?! Maybe I need to sound/write like a 3 year old and maybe I can get those damn programs to work correctly for me! hahaha actually, writing & speaking like a 3 year old may not be THAT much of a challenge for me! = p

Those translation programs butcher the sentences. I emailed my buddy in NY Monday but by accident sent it to my buddy in Medellin who can't read or write english. He obviously translated it in some software and wrote me back in english translated in the same software from Spanish. Anyway I laughed as I could not understand anything and wrote him myself in Spanish telling him he sounded like an idiot:) Here's one of the Spanish to English translated sentences so you be the judge of how good these things work: "As you drink from the melissa? As your marriage going? You shipping giant and a greeting you remember very fondly, when you come to me colombia flames."
