Week end November 10-11th. November 11th is Cartagena´s independance day and the Señorita Colombia is always celebrated on the closest following weekend of this date. Monday the 12th is a holiday which is really the 11th moved to Monday as most holidays do here.

I was there last year, and it was Extreemly slow compared to the 2005.

CJ, the reason it was slow is because the original date was postponed. Everyone was there, but no pageant. I paid for seats behind the judges as well as a private party and my tour agency did not refund that part of the cost of the trip.

At that time, I did not speak spanish that well and I never fully understood why they changed the dates.
