ESCAPE FROM THE FARC

“Fuga de las FARC”. El documental, que contó con acceso exclusivo al propio Pinchao, será presentado en toda América Latina el domingo 19 de octubre a las 9:30 pm.

En una hora de duración, “Fuga de las FARC” se enfoca en la increíble historia de supervivencia de Jhon Pinchao, narrando detalladamente su plan de fuga de un campamento situado en la selva de Vaupés (departamento situado al este de Colombia que limita con Brasil), hasta que se encontró con un Comando Jungla de la Dirección Nacional de la Policía Colombiana, en mayo de 2007. La producción también cuenta en retrospectiva cómo Pinchao y otros compañeros se convirtieron en rehenes de la guerrilla, durante el sangriento ataque a la base policial de Mitú llevado a cabo el primero de noviembre de 1998.

Translation:

Escape from the FARC. The documentary that counted with exclusive access by Pinchao himself will be shown all over Latin America on Sunday, October 19th at 9:30 p.m.

Lasting one hour, "Escape from the FARC'' focuses on the incredible history of survival of Jhon Pinchao, narrated in detailed his plan to escape from the camp located in the Vaupes jungle (department located to the east of Colombia in the border with Brazil), until he finally found a Jungle Command under the direction of the Colombian National Police, in May of 2007. The production also narrates in retrospect how Pinchao and other of his group became hostages of the guerrilla, during the bloody attack to the police base of Mitu which happened on November of 1998.

Jhon Pinchao is an amazing character and his escape and the information gave Colombian authorities helped lead to a number of Govt victories over FARC.

The pictures I saw of him were of an *extremely* thin person-I hope he's managed to gain back some weight, regain his health and find some peace and rest.
