English Teaching Books

Does anybody know where I can get my hands on some books/courses for teaching english, in Bogota? I've tried Panamericana, but they have a pretty limited selection, somebody mentions 'books & books', but I can't seem to find where it is or if there is one in Bogota at all... or is there an internet site where you can order them from? Thanks x

There's a "Books & Books" on the main commercial street in Cedritos - Calle 140 or 141, I can never remember which. I'd call first, though. It's a really nice place but it's pricey and I was not impressed with the breadth or depth of their offerings.

http://poorbuthappy.com/colombia/post/english-books-in-bogota/ - this thread mentions another place or two.

Oh, and if you go to Cedritos, there's a fairly new Gran Manzana on Avenida 19 - they have a lot of used items, some (new) remainders and a ton of new and used compact disks. Even if you don't find what you went for, it's a good place to browse.

Tru AUTHORS, an American bookstore on the corner of Cl 70 with Cr 5. They will order anything you want and their prices are 40% above the US list price--still high, but cheap for Bogota.

Try San Victorino in the Down town, that is Av Jimenez and Cra.10Th Which is also a good place to buy inexpensive books.

You will find all kind of books at Calle 16 con 8 (octava), On San Victorino what you will find mostly are office supplies, party items among other house items.

But, I'm going to start making some assumptions here.... Which means I might actually end up making an ass out of myself ..........Thu 04 17, 2008 11:34 am
