England vs Croatia.......ESPN in Colombia

Can someone please tell me if the England game will be shown on ESPN here in Colombia???? I don´t have a cable TV guide at work to find out the time.

SWP starting on the right with barry as defensive midfielder.....hopefully we will win 2-0

McClaren (the fool) is clearly playing for a draw. How disappointing. Well, Eduardo will sneak a goal and Croatia will win 1-0. At least we'll be rid of McClaren.

Should be on 2:45 ....ESPN , McClaren not a big fan, but hes the Guy whos there at the moment. Do not agree maninred,SWP is a good attacking mid fielder with the ability to pass and beat defences not a player you choose for a draw....Beckham will be on later i expect.

England out :))))

problem with the English team is too many foreign players playing in the premiership, and usually they are the best, hardly any good local talent.

Ryan Giggs one of the best he is Welsh

that's bollocks... and just the latest excuse from the media... 12 months ago the problem was not having a pasionate english manager... basically we're shit... we lack intelligence.. we lack technique... and of course... a shit manager just makes things worse... he spent the entire match worrying about his silly umbrella and endlessly drinking water... in the fucking rain! He's been shit from day 1... we need Mourinho!

England apart from Rooney, Owen and maybe Scholes (sp) hasn't got outstanding players i think.

Although I agree with you Usher Mourinho can be a good manager but i heard he has a bit of a temper, and with Rooney the same that will be a very angry team heheh

manINred says on Nov 22, 2007, 06:11:

What about Beckham (who I already know you don't think of as much)? He set up the past three goals that England scored. He's an outstanding player, and has won more than ROoney, Owen combined. Also Owen Hargreaves who was benched by the walking joke of a manager. Hargreaves was our man of World Cup 2006. Rio Ferdinand is a stellar international player. Scholes no longer plays internationally.

Complete reworking of the FA is needed. A joke. A complete failure. At least we can now look to young local talent such as Ashley Young, Theo Walcott, Abonglahor, all of whom are overlooked yet can be developed by proper managers such as Mourinho. We can build upon the few players right now who would make any international side in the world.

manINred says on Nov 22, 2007, 06:21:

And for all of you naysayers who say "england has no talent this..." and "england are just pathetic that..." just look back to last summer.

What did we do with a proper manager like Eriksson (who is infinitely, and I do mean infinitely) better than McClueless? We finished 5th in the World Cup, better than over 200 other teams that participated. we made the final 8, alongside only 7 other teams. Fifa ranked us as finishing 5th because we didn't even concede a goal in our exit to Portugal. We outplayed them, but lost on penalties.

This is proof that England are not inept, that we need a manager with half-a-brain to manage us, not like the git McClaren. It's too bad that the FA is completely and utterly as inept as McClaren. It certainly makes life hard for international football in England.

I agree... Mourinho or Lippi would be ideal... Beckham should have been on from the start... most experienced player in the bloody team! Wright-Phillips is good at running people with tired legs late on... god...what a joke!

the real problem is MONEY, EGOS, and the media promoting these primadonas to a higher underserved level, the wages of these guys is obscene, priority is all messed up, we live in a world where reality is on TV, but reality is when you leave your house if you have one to shop for food if you have money, we all see the news on tv or the internet, ,,,,,,,, its not happening to me so ignore it, and every rainy season( bringing it back home) thousands of colombians are displaced be it el rio Magdelena or Cauca

usher127 says on Nov 22, 2007, 19:41:

Agreed. It would be nice to see people play just for the love of the game. In fact, that is true of all professions and all actions. Perhaps, you should say that in the 'Chavez bans miniskirt thread'.

That said, money doesnt seem to affect the Brazilians, Italians or French. I think the boring conclusion is, simply, that premiership football is all about being direct and physical... which simply doesnt work at a high level (and of course... and intelligent manager helps).

manINred says on Nov 22, 2007, 19:47:

Money and egos exist on all of the best national clubs (Argentina, French, Portuguese), so that's obviously not England's real problem.

The social issues that you point out are interesting, but they aren't the reason England have been under-performing.

But in any case, the utility that football brings to the masses is the reason why it is such a popular phenomenon.

Who's to say that the sporting intelligence that Wayne Rooney or Lionel Messi display on field (a rare intelligence that 1 in 500,000,000 people have) is any less relevant and important and impressive than the intelligence used by a mathematician in creating new formulas and solving mind-boggling equations?

Coincido Maninred.

Absolutamente! That's what I like to read!

Lucas Freley says on Nov 24, 2007, 17:43:
