Employment/sponsorship track?

Does anyone know of anyone who has had success getting a VISA this way? If a person wanted to hire a nanny this way, is it likely that they would grant the VISA, or is it a waste of time and $$? Any wisdom?

Thanks!

Probably.... will not fly. Due to abuses the US government has really put the screws on. I was told unless there are children under seven or an elderly person 75 or older it is just about impossible. The paperwork is massive and you almost agree to be totally responsible for the person while he/she is in the USA. Also there is, I believe, a two-year limit on the work visa with no ententions.

Gator... when you say "unless there are children under seven", what do you mean? I do have 5 children, one of whom is under 7 (she also has one).

Thanks!

No "Hair Splitting" allowed... Waste of time and money-children likly would be grown before you even get an answer. One child under five????????? Make the appropriate applicate through the visa program and find out for sure.
