"EL NACIONAL" en Los Angeles!!!

El Nacional played today (9/21) against "El America" de Mexico. It was a great game even though it ended up as a tie. The final score was 3-3 and most of the Mexican people left the stadium pretty upset. Their was a decent Colombian crowed and hopefully we can get "el nacional" to play here again. A lot of the Mexican people thought "el nacional" was from Bogotá for some strange reason.. lol.. We had to correct them on that.. lol.. Overall it was a great game and I'm glad that all of the Colombian people came together to cheer on our team!!! =)

The coverage of the fans in the stadium seemed to show a decent turnout of El Nacional fans. I'm sure they had their hands full against a coliseum full of America (mex) loyalists!

A fortunate turn of events for Atletico allowed the game to end in a draw. It seemed that for the majority of the 2nd half, Atletico lost the fluidity and rhythym they enjoyed earlier.

But leave it to Hugo Morales to slash is way thru a defense. He did a great job of forcing the isue in the final minutes that resulted in Hurtado's guiding the ball past a diving America keeper and into the back of the net.

Exciting game!

Great Game First GOL in under 1 Minute, GREAT. All mexicans were very upset, they thought they had the game in their pockets, since American is a very good team, but guess what Nacional is way BETTER.

any ideas who will broadcast the 2nd game?

yeah! Most likely fox sports. I do know for a fact that the next meeting between both is October 5th in Medellin. I think "el america" will not have many supporters.. lol..

Nacional was unlucky in that three of their shots in the second period hit the post. In case, Nacional did a good enough job to win the game.

Very True!! those shots that hit the post were great!! i was jumping out of my chair several times.

it was frustrating though, because el nacional just couldn't seem to maintain possession in the 2nd half.

oh god! you should of seen all of us at the stadium! When el America scored the third goal, most of us thought it was over. Then when el nacional tied the game, most of us wanted to cry...lol..I know the guy behind me had a tear.. lol.. it was sooo much fun!
