It takes about 8 hours, and it costs about USD 60 round trip.

It would be better to ask in June.

Yup, about 8 hours depending if the road is still there. With Bolivariano COP 35,000 or COP 38,000 depending on whether you go "Royal" or "Express". I recommend the extra COP 3,000 for the latter.

Maybe webmanco meant flying? - now that would be cheap!

Maybe I am predicting the fare raises from now until June next year

OOps! Is there an "undo edit"? I erased almost all of my post.

OK to recap: Take the BIG busses, La Linea is not a place for zippy drivers of small busses. Beautiful views. I may be going this weekend if I do it will be at night, but I don't suggest that for any other traveller. It is only about 70.000 COP round-trip. Bring a blanket/long sleeves/no sandals as it is cold on those busses. I can't remember what else I erased.

Just call or visit the bus terminal (Terminal de Transporte) on line here: http://www.killyam.com/terminal/

Best bet is a bus to Armenia, about 325 km about 8 hours. I would call or visit the terminal off Av Boyaca towards the airport 65.000 /70.000 pesos is about right- go doing daylight as the scenery is great. As bufalo said take a big express bust though

Without reservation, in addition to Cartagena, the one area of Colombia not to be missed.
