"El dia de los esposos" this weekend in Colombia (husband and wife's day? or just husband's day?)

Hello guys,

My husband and I have been discussing the forthcoming Colombian even of “El dia de los esposos�? I believe it’s this weekend however we don’t know what they mean by “esposos�? (esposos can either be husbands or husband and wife as in nosotros somos esposos or we are husband and wife) anyway we don’t know and that is the reason why I come to you for help.

My hubby thinks that it’s husband’s day he keeps insisting that it is and keeps calling me stubborn for not agreeing with him! So is it husband’s day this Sunday? And if so do Colombian wives get a especial day like this one? If not then I think that it is really unfair on us since we are the ones that cook and clean!

There is a salsa concert here in London to celebrate “El dia de los esposos�? David Pavon is coming he is a romantic salsa singer, So my husband wants me to celebrate “his day�? and take him out and buy him a gift and all that! So is it true? Man I wish it wasn’t! Otherwise my hubby is going to make me pay for being such a stubborn girl! And I don’t like being wrong :[

yeah it's also called Saint Joseph's Day or "El Dia de San Jose"

Something new... Also new for me. At the least in the coast never heard that St Joseph´s Day was also called "Esposos day" ...
