Maybe you ladies and guys have seen some posts regarding immigrants in the US on PBH... I just learned that the KKK is saying that "Mexico is invading the US".
I think this is a very serious situation, cause we all know what the KKK is about: racism, antisemitism, white supremacy, among others.
I honestly don't think that the KKK cares about the immigration problem per se, I think this is more a racism matter.
It's a shame that latin governments don't really care about their people and they do demand a new immigration "agreement"...
what does have to do with Colombia? Well, I'll tell you... being this a racism matter (as I think it is) there are also colombians in the US...
Sad....

Mr. Hollywood says on Sep 8, 2007, 15:32: Does the Klan even really EXIST any more? I mean as a real organization, of course, not just an excuse for some redneck racists to air out old bedsheets.

Tinto (Moderator) says on Sep 8, 2007, 15:36: I just looked up the Anti-Defamation League site and they say there might be 5000 KKK members. That's not very many and if history is any guide, they don't have very much money and for sure they don't have brains. I think they lost a lot of members when most states or municipalities said if they wanted to march in public they'd have to show their faces. I doubt there's a group with less political power or more jokes made at their expense except for Sr. Tertius' NAMBLA.*

Mr. Hollywood says on Sep 8, 2007, 20:39: The "Wife Power" clown demonstration idea is hilarious. I wonder if they were taking a cue from Bogota's traffic mimes?

christobeldawg says on Sep 8, 2007, 20:46: Gabo, no preoccupe, the KKK has been effectively dead for many years. They made their half witted stand in the 60's. They were a strong force up until the 1930's. There will always be fringe hate groups because people who feel cast out tend to find other cast outs to bond wtih. admittedly, arriving can feel great too |

bonnielass says on Sep 8, 2007, 21:18: The Klan's been dead for years. Their organization is weak at best and it really is just an excuse to parade their hate in front of everyone and not get the crap kicked out of them for it. (Parades, demonstrations, etc.)

tomtom33 says on Sep 9, 2007, 04:57: The Klan was evicerated by, I think, Morris Dees who won a civil rights suit against them and took all of their assets. Even lawyers can do good once in a while.

Sr Tertius says on Sep 9, 2007, 09:15: Don't underestimate the Klan or NAMBLA. They are in cahoots with Chavez, the muslims, North Korea, and Dr. Evil (aka Yair Klein) to take over Colombia. It's only a matter of time!!!! "When the finger points to the moon, the fool looks at the finger" (Chinese proverb) |
