Nice headline. JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA!!!!!! Assassination! guuuuwaaaaaaaaaaaahh! I agree the nasty Colombian army needs to be much more sporting about hunting the poor farcsters. Really it should be like Battle Royale, don't you think? None of this surprise ambush pussy stuff. Just because they call themselves an army and just because they have declared a war against the government and just because they anonymously and without warning attack, kill, and kidnap people who haven't declared themselves part of that war and have littered the landscape with lethal boobytraps that will continue to maim and kill innocents long after the war is over, isn't justification for such unfairness. Let's make this like bird hunting! You can't shoot a duck on the water; has to be airborne. No groundkills for any bird in fact. Therefore, upon sighting a farcster, warning must be given and shots held until said farcster has either taken flight or raised weapon in response. No more bombing of encampments. Warfare must be one-on-one, face-to-face in order to respect the human dignity of the farc, who are of course big supporters of human dignity. pffffffff!!!!

"The great thing about human language is that it prevents us from sticking to the matter at hand."

no the cobardes are the FARC terrorists killing innocent women and children.

I guess you don't consider them cobardes because they do it with knives and not with bombs?

What a sick mind.

Since this is from ANNCOL, the content was to be expected.

Leaving the issue of the violation of Ecuador's border aside, which is a large part of the actual problem and which wouldn't happen if FARC didn't violate it first....

I see nothing wrong with attacking FARC using technological means which are not prohibited by international law as far as I can tell.

Other than the limits set by international law, FARC has no right to demand pity or mercy...nor any moral standing from which to do so.

juancegomez says on Mar 2, 2008, 12:56:

Is it exclusively "Uribist" to contemplate the need to fight FARC while there are no real negotiations in place?

If there were, or if it were up to me and I'd be more flexible in order to allow them to happen, the story would be different.

But right now, that's not the point.

I don't share Chavez's rhetoric which makes peace always seem "around the corner", to say the least.

Hell...if some people can call senator Gustavo Petro "Uribist", just because he can directly criticize FARC and isn't entirely against the use of military force, I guess someone like me also classifies, in your eyes.

But whatever...such McCarthyism...

You mean in case of the hypothetical war?

Not really, even then...it's not like Bush per se would be the only person who would remotely consider aiding Colombia within the U.S. government or political class.

I would not call it an assasination. The FARC and Reyes has publicly announced war against the Colombian Government. Its an ongoing war and Reyes was a legitimate target.

Smile if you are a thinker!
