I have done that bus trip from Medellin to Armenia I went to Salento for christmas, it is not that bad & I had a blast, they play movies and the bus was very comfortable & so much better than any bus here in the states.. There is a stop midway for food and refreshments that is pretty cool it's right next to the river in an open air restaurant. The road is a bit windy but I never felt in danger, and the company of the different people on the bus was very enlightening. I have all the bus routes on my guide write me at scooby1781 at gmail.com if you would like a free copy. $75.000 is pretty cheap that's around $35.00 I might have taken that if it was available then.

I've done that and used a mini bus to get to Peirera. The Colombians warned me that if I had luggage that I could not attend to, to not take the regular bus.

well easyfly is a new airline, i think it's been since last year and it seems good so far... It's the cheapest at the moment.
And as scooby said, traveling by bus here is so much better than in the US, I travel on greyhound bus from Orlando to Punta Gorda, and let me tell you that colombian buses are so much better and comfortable. I think the best are the big ones, those have AC, movies and comfortables seats... You might want to take some snacks with you and maybe take a pill of "mareol" (http://www.drugs.com/international/mareol.html) if you happen to suffer from motion sickness!

Dude seriously the last time I took a bus in Colombia , besides local buses, was the one to Salento if that airline was available the I would sure have taken it into consideration. Don't let one post from some inbred dipshit piss you off take all the good suggestions and shit can the moronic ones.
