Dual nationality

I am sure this has been asked before..if I have a Mexican passport and a US passport, can I use one passport for the 180 days and the other one for another 180 days?

Not quite the same but I have two Australian passports and thought I might be able to use one and then the other to get around the 180 day issue; however DAS had them both tabled and registered to 'me' and therefore I had to leave.
