Do they tell you why the posts are deleted? I haven't had anything of mine deleted, not that I post all that much anyway. But I see frustrated posters talking about the deletions on here and wonder what they said or did to earn the deletions. I just assumed that if you get deleted, the moderator would send you an e-mail explaining why. If not, then how do you know what you did to cross the line. Without the feedback, you won't neccesarily know what not to do.
I do see some people committing the same sin with impunity that gets others deleted. Generally speaking, I think that the board should stay pretty self-regulating. If not, I think it will be pretty bland on here. Not that I get into with other posters, but I do find some of the wars on here to be pretty funny.

Having said that, I'm working on features to make moderation easier so that these things get better. It's often a problem of the software (Drupal) we work with...

Also remember even though we moderate, we don't have infinite time.

These aren't personal attacks? This is far worse than anything I said to her. She just gets pissed off because she doesn't like what I have to say. If I had as little class as she exhibits I'd have it plastered all over the internet by now.

Just so you get something right for once, Miquel Clavo, I wasn't booted off Colombian Blog. I left of my own free will due to the same kind of censorship and double dealing that we are now witnessing on PBSH. Hell, Jose and many other people sent me emails asking me to reconsider but I never will. While Elmo was posting on PBSH it had some entertainment value but it's diminished considerably.

I just can't wait till Peter comes with the new software that'll make moderation easier, because sure there has been a lot of bitching about it.

I don't play favorites I don't believe Tinto or Peter do it either.I believe the difference lies in our different personalities and what things we see as offensive. I, personally, would delete any offensive ad hominem attack that employed vulgar or obscene language, but then I'd have to sit here 24 hour a day and edit all rubito's posts, for example. I don't have that kind of time.

I've re-read the thread UC is referring to in Spanish Only section and yes, Lisa is not mincing words with you. I have no way of telling, but could it have been that you brought it on yourself? I know that you are joking, and try to put up with your humour even if I don't always consider it funny, but an average new poster here can easily misunderstand you and see only the offensive tone and denigrating vocabulary in it. Yes, I think that being a Colombian woman I could be easily offended by many or your posts if I didn't know better.

clash of cultures I think what we have here is bigger than UTC I think what we have here is a CLASH OF CULTURES notice all the gringos reconize the sarcasim of UTC and most colombian don't except the one's have been gringolized, i had that problem when i first stared dating latinos where an insult was an insult not a joke, LIZA ZEE i read his post on solo en spanish, it was his sick humor and cause it BOTHERS u is the reason he does it and maybe he KINDA LIKES YOU; he sure has your attention; it's a strange thing how men and woman fight,as a regular writer on solo en spanish I understand it's different on this page and the rules are different but drama sarcasim and sick humor is the gringo way sad but true all can i say to the colombianas is rent the movie Man on the Moon lol
