Donde estan los colombianos en Miami?

I always hear Doral, Kendall and Fort Lauderdale. Can I get more info please. If i were to move to Miami or its sorroundings Id like the area with the most colombians. The closest thing to Jackson Heights, Queens.

Thanks

In Miami?! Miami is literally filled with Colombians! Definitely not Fort Lauderdale. Stick with Kendall , Doral is generally Venezuelans. Kendall is a nice suburb type area with nice houses. If you are in Miami, Colombians are everywhere haha.

Mitch, Colombians are scattered all over the place in what is known as greater Miami. Unlike the Cubans who live in enclaves like Little Havana, Hialeah or the Haitians, who live in Little Haiti the same cannot be said of Colombians. We have a lot of Colombians here in North Miami. A lot go to the same church I belong to, they even had Colombian Independence day at the church last year. In Kendall, more Cubans then anyone else. Colombians are scattered throughout Doral, Miami Lakes, Pembroke Pines(broward), Sweetwater, Westchester, Hialeah, Key Biscayne, Miami Beach, Golden Isles. You see quite a few Colombians with "means" living in the Adventura and Weston areas as well as greater Fort lauderdale. Wherever there is a sizeable group of Colombians you will see a few(but not many) small Colombian Restaurants or bars. There is NO "Little Colombia" as there is Little Havana or Little Haiti. Even Little Havana's predominantly cuban population is being diluted by Central Americans, esp the eastern areas of little havana. I see very few Colombians living in the Gables(coral) or the Grove(coconut). There is a handfull of Colombians out on Key Biscayne but the dominant latin groups out on Key Biscayne are cubans and Venezuelans. You also see a scattering of Colombians in Brickell but not many. Recently, there have several Murders in Kendall and while some will say Kendall is such a great neighborhood, cruise thru many of the streets there and you will see Burglar Bars across the windows of the Homes. Why is this? Obviously to safeguard against break-ins and Kendall has their fair share of crime. Check out the crime Stats! BTW, the Tampa, Florida area has pretty sizeable Colombian Population as does the Orlando area and they also have Colombian Independence day celebrations.

well..........we have a shit load of family in miami los jaramillos...and in my experience, the greatest concentration i've seen is in margate, where nearly every latin one encounters says their colombian...oddly enough, mostly paisas. lots of colombian markets and stores there. it's just west of lauderdale.

what are you mitch, a gluton for punishment. i'd go nuts livin down there around the family. not that i don't like/love em, it's just over much. in medallo, it's fine. but here in florida, i got no finca to escape to.

I went to mass at 12:00 noon at Mary Help of Christains in Parkland - the priest is from Medellin and Colombians are definately the majority. THere are many Colombians in Westin, Coral Springs and Parkland. I would says Colombians would rank number 2 in Coral Springs in numbers behind Jewish people (there are so many Jewish people in Coral Springs).

Larryrn--there is also a huge Jewish Population in North Miami Beach. Same for Miami Beach, Bal harbor, Bay harbor islands and Surfside. A Jewish Neigbor's daughter who lives in a miami beach Condo at 49&Collins informed me in a conversation a few weeks ago that her Condo Building was designed by Meyer Lansky(mob fame) who also later resided in the same Bldg.

Very few Colombians(residents), otherwise then the Colombians who staff the various Colombian Banks(us branches), are to be found in Brickell.

Mitch, I saw a post here about a year ago showing stats for Colombian concentrations in the US. Kendall was número uno. Specifically around the Hammocks area if I remember correctly.
