I've been thinking for some time now that this site really needs a way to stop people asking the same questions over and over again. The google toolbar is not sufficient, most people do not bother (or do not even think of) using it.
Trouble is, many people ask stupid questions, like:
"Can I drive from [somewhere in North America] to Colombia?"
(I think a variant of this question pops up every week)
Or they misspell the name of the country ("COLUMBIA")
This has a detrimental effect on the forum, increasing the quantity of the posts but not the quality. I find myself coming back with increasing infrequency.
Many forums on the internet **EXPECT** people to read the FAQ/guidelines section first, and are asked ONLY to post a message if it's definitely not in the FAQ. Otherwise it gets ignored. Might be a policy worth considering.
Anway, I thought I'd have rant, thanks for listening.....

Christian88 says on Mar 29, 2006, 16:32: If people don't want to take the time to type something into the SEARCH bar (which they usually don't before posting the same question for the 50th time), then they are highly unlikely to bother reading FAQ's.
