In what way? Traditionally: caring for elderly family members? But this is common across many cultures...

Are you searching for culturally polar places?

He lives in Korea At the boshintang farm, beating dogs until his arms ache. The pay is low and the conditions suck, but when you love your job, that stuff doesn't matter.

Is your current BF turning Japanese?

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

the reason iam asking is because i noticed that Colombians will sit down and eat or have some drinks before closing a buisness deal. The Japanese have the same custom, except they drink Tea instead. And Colombians are very clean, like the Japanese. So,i was just curious if there were any more similarities between the two.As far as caring for elderly family members, that might be common in many cultures(especially the Latin culture),but its not common in the North American culture.

pondering the similarities ... let's see:

Colombians can dance.
The women tend to have nice breasts.
The language is easy to learn and has only one alphabet.
Colombians usually have straight teeth.
Colombians tend toward not having much money, and at the most one camera.
And as we learned earlier this week, it takes only twelve minutes to earn a Big Mac in Tokyo, versus 97 in Bogota.

Yeah, I'd say they're pretty similar.

Not.

Most cultures Have the custom of not getting right down to business but eating and drinking first. The US is one of the rare exceptions. If you went to Brazil India or France you'd see the same thing.

I think I'm turning Japanese too. I really think so.

Oh, and El Corral is cheaper and MUCH better than Mickey D's and uses better ingredients.

No similarities There are little similarities. I have spent time in both countries. Colombia is a Latin culture with its basis from Western European/Mediterranean world (Spain). Colombia is more individualistic in thought but not as much as North America and Northern Europe.

Japan is an Asian country/culture.

The women in Colombia have more control of their lives and household. Colombian men and women are both aggressive vs. the Japanese passiveness.

The Japanese concept of saving “face” and the whole obedience and social order/harmony of society does exist in Colombia or the Western world.

The men in both countries drink a lot. The diets of both countries are polar opposites, with the exception of rice. They both love American culture and Italian culture.

los colombianos y los japoneses son muy diferente the only similarity i would say apart from including rice as part of their stable diet would be that they both have similar football teams. In fact, both teams always seem to never qualify for the world cup and qualify and perform miserably. They are both ranked at 37th and 26th in the world at present so again this about the only closeness i can think of.

however, i would not think that the japanese people would shoot or kill one of their players on their return home after the world cup tournament like the colombianos did after USA 1994 - i know he was called pablo too pero yo no recuerdo el appellido.
