Does anyone have some information on the volunteer group "letsgovolunteer" ??

I was planning on going around june for a month and they charge about 400 dollars and they include food and living...Does this sounds like a fair deal? Its in a city called Ibague, how is the city? Whats there to do for fun and for night life? According to them its 4 hours from Bogota is it possible to get a bus to Bogota and how much would cost one way?

Thanks for the info!!
If anyone knows a better group or a good one that is based in bogota that would be great.

its not too bad there ,quite a big town ,would not really call it a city ,nice football ground there ,nice weather ,they do all sit out side there,
4 hours from bogota on bus is about right, cost i think is 60.000 or less,
100 dollars a week seems a good deal.

a 4 hour taxi ride in the US would be about $500 bucks plus probably. 30 bucks sounds cheap.

Why do people constantly try and compare prices of goods and services in the States (or any other place) with those in Colombia? I understand the need to know the cost of things for budget reasons, but to say it's cheap or a good deal doesn't equate. Try telling someone living in Ibague making 500.000 pesos a month that 60.000 for the bus to Bogota is "cheap". It's a completey different economy and lifestyle. Lest we forget the name of this web site....so Scotty whats your point?

I was equating it to him because he is presumably coming from the US where he worked making US $. I am assuming he will save some money before he comes to survive.
