Thankyou to all of the people that answered my questions regarding work visa application in Colombia , one of the criteria is a Police record for the last six months , is this from your country of residence or your country of birth or both.?.

rmykita says on Nov 25, 2006, 16:41: Read. The requirement clearly gives you the answer. with that said, it is required from the country of last residence (6 months or more). Just get your birth country - translated, too.

sallya says on Nov 25, 2006, 17:13: Just got a work visa I just got a work visa this week. I didn't need a police check - but I am in Australia. I don't know where you are applying from and maybe there it is different. These are the documents I needed:

megustamuchisimo says on Nov 28, 2006, 08:17: police record not needed This is no longer a requirement for work visas in Colombia. The problem is that not all Colombian consulates KNOW the requirements ofthe country they represent, so if the consulate says to get one, do it--easier than arguing.
