I am making my first ever trip to Colombia (Medellin) in January to visit my girlfriend. We attend college together and this is the "meet the parents" visit. I just hope my spanish holds up!
Anyway, I have looked on the embassy page as well as other places and I don't think I need a visa for a two week visit being an American citizen. However, I stumbled onto this page and just wanted to double check. Thanks!

JMCana says on Dec 15, 2006, 07:38: Have the info Just like entering almost all countries, be prepared to give them the address where you will be staying and the phone number along with how many days you are staying and how much money you expect to spend. Some of my flights have been 16 hours or more and I have even just put that info on a piece of paper and given to the customs agent. Either way, Colombians will welcome you. They are very friendly people.
