where do U come from??? I am Colombian and have lived in MANY cities in the US, currently Manhattan. EVERYwhere I have been, including the midwest, I have run into poverty and sadness and disfigured beggars!!!!! PLEASE tell me where in the world u come from that u r not used to seeing such things? whatever continent/country u live in, there are people like the above pic, unless u live in upper class communities!!! It should help u APPRECIATE what U have been blessed with and thank whomever it is u pray to for not being in that persons' position, not let it ruin your vacation.
very sad...

anahincapie, you are reading too much into my post, the title was just for shock value, a common media ploy.

The post by Adrimm was not receiving any comments so I thought I would use the shocking title ploy to draw attention to it. Obviously it has worked.

Anyhow you are quite new to the forum so I understand that the mistake is easy to make just by reading this post. I hope you now understand it isn't how I feel at all about the less fortunate, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact since returning from Colombia I have become a more charitable person than I was prior to my trip.

I don't know why you presume I pray to anyone, the object of my worship is not a person but the natural world. I find beauty in all things.

For the beggar every day is probably a drag.
