Direct flights from Europe to Bogota?

My parents are coming to visit me from Belgium in January and since they don't speak english (nor Spanish) very well I am trying to find them direct flights from somewhere in europe. Preferably Brussels but Amsterdam or Paris, even London will do, as long as they don't have to deal with US immigration coz that'd be a little too much for them i think.

Off the cuff, with the options you listed above, Amsterdam (and Madrid) I would say top the list, London is beginning to duplicate the US and Paris is not that far behind. Paris is ok, but still major glitches routing through this airport.

I will recommended Paris, with Air France or Madrid, with Iberia or Avianca

What kat1 says. Amsterdam is not an option as it has no direct airlink with Bogotá and going via London (which is complicated) means connecting elsewhere again. I believe that if Air France is chosen, the leg between Brussels and Paris is by train and Air France is better than Iberia. Having said that however... Madrid is very easy (easier) to transfer at (if using Iberia or Avianca and therefor using Terminal 4 and 4S). Play with the dates to get the best price and connection at: www.vliegtarieven.be

Sorry, I stated Amsterdam, and thur is correct, no links are known to Bogota, but there is from Frankfurt...but again majority agrees with Madrid!

Madrid, about $700 return at the moment. I liked Iberia, Avianca was ok. Bear in mind, that if you are booking the flights independently, ie; Brussels - MAD & MAD - BOG, you should leave plenty of time for connection, even if it means an overnight stay, (Madrid is well worth it anyway). Bucket shop operators in Europe are notoriously tardy and, (not to contradict thur), they will probably have to get on the bus between terminals, anyway. Try kayak.co.uk

Air Comet (along with Iberia and Avianca) also fly direct from Madrid to Bogota. There are rumors that Avianca will restart the direct flight from London to Bogota this year.
