nah ill pass on him for now. He wants to charge $400 USD for a crown...too close to american prices. I believe he charges that much because he can speak english and he feels americans who do not ( I do ) speak spanish will go there because they will feel more comfortable. Any others you all know of? I had a crown done in Cali at Dentilaser and it only ran me like $150 and they did an excellent job. But this time around I will not be in Cali.

Careful of using cut-rate dentsists a few pesos cheaper. Even if you have to pay a few bucks more to go a quality Dentist, you already saving so much money over having it done in the States that its a small price to pay for peace of mind. They also have a Dental Clinic, I believe, at the highly rated Clinic de Las Americas in Medellin. Maybe Lisa Zee could comment on it.

Let me try to make an analogy to help put things in perspective. If you are buying a car there are a lot of small steps involved in making a good car that makes the overall final result come out outstanding. Why Audi charges more that some other car brands? Because certainly you can expect high quality, long lasting reliable performance and security. Can you find cheaper cars? I bet you can! Can you expect the same benefits from the cheapest car you can get? I do not think so!
I recently was watching reality show at the Home & Health channel. The daily practice of some plastic surgeons in Florida…. They did have a patient in their office that has had a cosmetic procedure done in “Cali, Colombia”. This procedure went really bad and they were making it look as if things went wrong because was done in Cali. I couldn’t help thinking: what kind of place did she go looking for the cheapest place she could find? I guess she did learn the hard way.
Be aware of services “way too cheap”.
There are a bunch of us in Medellin from the medical profession who are doing an enormous effort not only to deliver GOOD quality services to local and foreigners but are also trying to offer the best price/performance ratio. This from and expert opinion point of view.
