ozgringo says on Oct 10, 2007, 13:00: I was at the Feria de Floras and watching a parade a few weeks back. I was standing in the crowd and there seemed to be a scuffle across the road and somewhat yelled out "Ladron, Ladron". About 5 seconds later (no exageration), 3 Police where on top of the guy and when he resisted the cops got out their thumping great batons and gave him a hiding, much to the delight of the crowd. By this time Jeffe Policia arrived with about 5 more and they all had a bit of a go at the hapless ladron.. He was then dragged off in a wagon... may a thousand mangy wombats shit in your billabong 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Medellin Traveler says on Oct 10, 2007, 15:23: After three trips to Medellin this year, and having spoken to many Paisas about the police department, it seems to me that they love the police, and are happily enjoying the state of security in their lovely city of Medellin. RussianFred says on Oct 10, 2007, 22:37: Medellin Traveler, NICE WEBSITE! Annual Drug Deaths: Tobacco: 395,000, Alcohol: 125,000, 'Legal' Drugs: 38,000, Illegal Drug Overdoses: 5,200, Marijuana: 0. Considering government subsidies of tobacco, just what is our government protecting us from in the drug war?--Ralph Nader 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Lisa Zee says on Oct 10, 2007, 23:10: Very nice!. I have seen some breath taking documentaries about Colombia in the past, but I am not very good with the net, and I only come here as a break from something I am doing.

john_stark says on Oct 11, 2007, 22:05: Actually I am disappointed. I liked it the way it was when you were taking your life in your hands just being there. Or riding around the back country of Cordoba with the familia and the guys. It's just not the same.
