Decently priced accomodations with a pool, in Medellin?

Thinking about visiting Medellin in Feb. Anyone know of a nice place to rent for maybe a week, or two, that has a swimming pool. No shared rooms.

Dude the max you should pay for what you want is around 800 american dollars MAX!!! If for one person. If you speak spanish you can run an ad in El Tiempo the local newspaper and tell them you want it in a good location and alot of people will respond to your ad. It may run you about 200 dollars american to run an ad for a week. Or You could run your ad for the weekend. Just whatever you do don’t get ripped off. Trust me it happens a lot. Whomever you rent from get a signed lease from them or an agreement in writing of everything you talk about an make sure it is legally binding. If they are not willing do that DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. Have a back up plan just in case things go sour. It also helps if you know people in the city you are going to and have at least 3 different places you can go to. Just in case things go bad. A lot of people will take your money upfront and then you get kick you out or find out you can’t have guests, parties, no smoking, or have a curfew. Find out all of these things before you go and get them to put it in writing. You are paying so you make the rules. Buyer Beware.

Best to try and rent "BY OWNER" instead of a 3rd party.

Decently priced: Means no gringo prices. Somewhere between $60-$80 USD a day. A jacuzzi would be nice. I doubt if there is too many of them for rent. Like some of the above blogs say, (watch ya chit?) Looked on the internet. Seems like the one's with pool, have banda acha. Really slow internet. A lot of the apartments have sparce furnishings. Or the one's with nice furnishings have no pool. Seems like the hotels are ripoofs.Charge too much. (Turkey in Paradise) Not Me! Maybe the paper is the way to go.(An Add) I like what Knight has too say. He puts it on the line. No BS. Will keep trying! Thanks for the response's.

To rent a 3/2 plus maids 1/1 in Poblado is right at 1,300,000 pesos. This of course doesnt include utilities or furniture but does require a 1 year lease (and a lot of paperwork). Leasing here is a nightmare with co-signers, trips to the notary, etc.

Side note -- I think being a Notary would be a great business - do you ever notice the actual Notary sits behind a think window and just signs everything but has a full office with people waiting to give them their money!
