Hi all,
This is about DAS in Medellin.
I was in Colombia from about March to July. During that time, I got three 30 day extension stamps at DAS. Then I went back to the States.
My old passport was set to expire February 1, 2009. So I got a new passport before coming back to Colombia. I arrived at the end of November and got a 60 day stamp upon entering.
My 60 days are about up. I'll have to get an extension at DAS soon.
My question:
Since I have a new passport (new number too), do I have to fill out all the paperwork and get photos and photocopies all over again? Or do I just pay at Sudameris and take the receipt to DAS like usual?
Does it matter that I have a new passport if I'm already in the system at DAS? I have my old passport (it has holes punched it it now) with me; should I take both passports when I go to DAS?

Gator says on Jan 20, 2009, 07:06: Call first DAS-but all you should have to take with you is your "old" and new passports and, of course your ticket out of the country. I also heard the DAS office in Medellin moved to a new location but perhaps someone else can confirm that speculation.
