I have about 20 people coming down for a week to Medellin for my wedding. I have only been to Medellin twice so I am not so familiar locations and prices of hotels. Anyway I think everyone seems to like to Dann Carlton better from what I have read and it's location being walking to nightlife. However I have also seen the room rates are a lot higher on travelocity etc.. Should (can) I negotiate a group rate with the hotels. Any suggestions?

gorgonabob says on Sep 29, 2005, 07:24: you should definitely contact them directly...it is not high season at the moment and there are no special conferences on at the moment. the rate they quote should be significantly less... get someone on the phone with a good grasp of spanish

When I ask my wife she says Dann Carlton. Why do people from Medellin think it is so much better than the Sheraton?
