My wife and I will be coming to Colombia this week and we have a few odds and ends of ipods, blood pressure monitor, digital cameras , mp3 players and a digital video camera - will any of this be subject to custom duty or confiscation? What are the rules and limits on bringing stuff (dollar limits if any one knows)? Thanks for all the info

rjstuff says on Jun 13, 2006, 09:33: No not 5 ipods Bob! Just one for her nephew. But she insisted on buying bunch of stuff for the family and friends also - I am only worried about the electronics because generally they have a higher price there and may be subject to custom duty. In india they charge 200 to 300% custom duty on electronics like TVs, DVD players, PCs, ipods, cameras etc.; so I want to be prepared to bring it back if they so decree - however some of the cameras and radios are from one of her friend who has sent this to her at the last minute. And yes everything will be unpacken - no boxes. Anyone know? I can't find anything on the internet when I try. Thanks all
