That price is only to go to the airport from medellin and price depends on where you are in the city. I think that price is from poblado. You have to call that taxi service. Search for the number.

From the airport it costs 48.000 pesos. That´s the price on their windshield sticker. When you ask the driver for the price most will charge you 50k. I guess you can argue the 2k pesos but I don´t.

By the way, I would bet that they are all asking for christmas tips now. I was asked for a christmas tip back in november and I laughed at him saying it´s not even december yet. I didn´t tip him and he left pissed off but I don´t care about that. Now if it was actually christmas eve I would give a tip.

They probably charge you the 2k extra (even though their not suppose to) to try and recoup some of that TOLL money half way down the hill, which comes out of their end.. I think that toll is 6mil as well..
