IF SOMEONE IN THIS FORUM KNOWS ABOUT CR1 VISA PROCESS I'LL BE GRATEFUL IF SOMEONE CAN GIVE ANY IN ANY INFORMATION ABOUT TIME FRAME
FROM THE DAY NVC SENDS THE CASE TO THE EMBASSY IN COLOMBIA.
AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FRO THE EMBASSY TO GIVE AN INTERVIEW DATE.I'VE HEARD THAT K VISAS ARE DIFERENT THAN CR1 VISAS PROCESS WISE CAN ANYONE GIVE ANY INFO ABOUT THIS?

The embassy... post a schedule of interviews every month. Take a look here:

You will only be on this list if the Embassy has received the paper work from the NVC. Then your wife will receive a packet from the Embassy with the forms and requrements. Once the Embassy received NVC packet, reviews it you should hear in about two months.

Do you think that we would have a chance to get the visa before of january?
or isit really extensive to get the interview for december?

Tell her to be on the lookout for a packet from the embassy. If she doesn't get it within the next few weeks, go to the embassy and get it. In the meantime she should be getting the documents she needs rounded up including her passport, her DAS certificate, her birth certificate etc. There is a chance that she can get a December interview.

or the cut off date that the embassy in bogota has or how long can it take for cr1 visa to be process in bogota to send an appoinment to the beneficiary...
the paper work was sent to bogota week an half ago does anyone knows if is posible for my wife to get an december interview.

No date for interview until Priority date? Got letter from NVC stating that our file forwarded to Bogota, but still missing papers. Requesting that my wife bring the missing tax forms to interview in Bogota. Kinda makes me nervous to think that its not all in order and we have to wait until the interview to see if we have all the papers to thier satisfaction. Would like to know if its smart to not wait 3 weeks to see if the packet comes or not, and just send someone now to pick it up at the embassy? Also, refresh my memory, what is the DS-230 form again? DS230 is the application that your wife will be filling out (all of her info - birth, parents, addresses, employment etc. etc.) - she will get this form along with others in her packet from Bogota. Here's a sample form that you can look up on Visa Journey http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-DS-230.pdf
(Don't use it if its not the same as the one she receives - sometimes these are outdated but I was able to use all of their forms since they were the same as what the USCIS sent me.) Good luck

visa center or embassy in bogota.who is giving the wrong info?? I received a letter from the visa center in vermount saying that all the fees for the cr1 was received and now(today) they are reviewing my wife's passport(copy that i sent).They have all the fees,the ds230,and all my documents that is needed for the process.It takes 6 to 8 weeks,she said.Now my wife spoked to someone in the embassy in bogota,and he told her that her documents is there,also did your husband received the letter from visa center saying that the paperwork is on its way here?I didnt receive this letter yet.I heard of some stories where people would pay someone in the embassy to put their date of interview fast.they pay about $500.I think for the people that pay this,they are being taken advantage of.my question is""who is giving the correct info?the visa center or the embassy.All input is apreciated...thanks guys..
