Could we do something for this father and his son?

I just read a notice about a -really-poour but happy father that must hold his 18 yrs old in his arms to take him every day to school where the boy is a great student.

Any idea?

Juan Carlos siempre llega a tiempo.

I am very happy to donate the chairs, but that is ALL I can do. We need some people`s help talking to airlines or if they know of someone that can take a chair FOR SURE to Bogota. When the two guys from PBH were trying to take them,( bless their hearts) the airline did NOT allowed them in the plane unless they would pay $100.00.

If I was going to Medellin believe you me......... I would play handicap or get a doctor`s certificate that I need a W CH! But I am Paisa of course ;)))))

Now that's a great idea Lisa....
Board first, possibly placed in the first row...plenty of leg room and a possibly massage by the stewardess to get the blood circulating again, hmm, then off to Bogota.

Is it perhaps convenient to have those chairs in Florida than in L.A...

Lisa: It is common in Colombia that nobody attends your email. Also, there are thousands of emails to wradio.com. I think the best idea is having telephone access during the first hours in the morning. The other way is emaling El Tiempo, specially the redactor for Bogotá area.

Could you translate the main part?

well there are 2 companies, el tiempo and avianca (National airline for those that may not know), both owned by the same matrix (sp?) company if someone has a contact in either one it can ease the transport of the WC down to Bogota. I could try and do something with my local avianca office I'll get back as soon as I get a response.

The task is done. 12:30. 20 minutes have passed since they left the house. Juan Carlos always arrives on time.

When it was first suggested, I thought the wheelchair campaign was a great idea, and made a small contribution. I complained a bit that there was no sort of acknowledgement (to this day), and I was accused of being petty by another member, as Peter was on his way to India where there is no internet access.

Never the less, I am a two-bit investor in Copa Airlines, and have met the president, his entire executive team, and the president of Aero República.

I emailed the two presidents, and the Copa Vice President for Investor Relations. I received a positive response from the VP, who agreed that this seemed a worthwhile effort, but would check with some others at Copa.

I gave him the www.poorbuthappy.com address, and never heard back from him. I can only assume that a reasonable person, seeing so much insanity here, cannot think of us as rational people.

However, I had hoped that I could relay some small success stories to that VP, but a recent visit to www.poorbuthappy.org revealed nothing.

I assume that a grand total of some $350 is sitting in an account created by Peter, unspent. I wish that he would report a worthwhile expenditure, or return the money.

I am not throwing stones, making accusations, or placing blame. I have had several associations with non-profits, and know that is a thankless task, with few rewards.

I would be interested in helping this poor father, but don’t want to think that a donation would simply sit in someone’s bank account, doing nothing.

Seems that some people think "everybody's outa step but me".

In my way, I sent a mail to Richard L.Richards, an attorney in Florida that could give us info:

Just for the record I`ll be gone for the next 2 weeks.
