Costeños Ursurping Cachaco Classics

I am sure everybody that is slightly familiar with colombian music has heard "El Hijuetuta" by Lizandro Mesa.

I know Elmo goes on about how stiff cachacos are and our music being so not danceable etc. I'll have you know, that El Hijuetuta was originally written and performed by a cachaco. The original cachaco version uses much coarser language, no holds barred. Who is the originaly composer you ask?

The answer is in the following link (sorry no embedding allowed for this video)

I hate regionalism, it's very counterproductive to the unity of our nation.

To my knowledge (yes it may be limited!) I always hear of people of bogota being called cachachos but not the caleño's or the paisa's....

The dance in Cali is anything but stiff....

Yes I have heard that song by Lizandro Meza but it was played so so much that it's not funny to me anymore....

Una manera cariñosa de decir "hijueputa".
Kind of like saying fudge instead of fuc*.

I'm likely wrong, but I thought the song was hijo de tuta and the hijueputa part was understood. Isn't it about the son of the factory owner, his bling and how he doesn't say hi?
