I am planning to ship household goods in a 20 ft. container to Colombia later this year. How are the customs people at the port in Buenaventura? Do they open up every box to see if you have any prohibited items or things that are not on the manifest..I have heard both YES and NO answers to this question..Who really knows the answer...I do think it would be impossible to open every container and every box that came off a ship at such a busy port..
