Have a few questions about the customs proceedures at the Bogota airport. I am headed to Cartagena on Avianca with a stop Bogota to switch planes. There is about an hour and a half between the two flights.
Will I have to go through customs at Bogota and then board my flight to Cartagena? And if so, will 90 minutes be enough time to make my next flight? Or, will I just transfer planes in Bogota and go through customs when I arrive in Cartagena?
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Peteyw

If both legs of the flight is with Avianca and they tell you is alright then you should be fine. I use American Airlines and if they tell me it is alright they hold up the other flight if they have to sometime. If they do not think you will make it they tell me to book later flight. Usually they prefer that there are two hours in between.

Copete says on May 17, 2005, 16:04: Not sure... Actually, you may not have to go though customs in Bogota. You do go through immigration, but after you claim your bag, there's an Avianca desk in the same hall, where you can check it in for your Cartagena flight. Then, you go through customs without your bag and catch the bus to the Puente Aereo.
