Comparison of hostels in Bogota?

Hey there. I know there are have been many conversations about hostels (at the budget end of the scale) in Bogota, but has anyone visited:

- Platypus and
- El Patio Amarillo and
- Internacional and
- Hotel Aragon???

Everyone has their own preferences about which is the best of the places that constantly pop up in the travel guides...but it can be hard for a traveller to make an informed decision unless people have been to several of them and weighed up the pros and cons

Any one got particular views on whether the Internacional is better/worse than Platypus for meeting fellow travellers? The mix of international people who tend to stay at each place? Whether it can be difficult to meet people at Aragon because it is a hotel rather than a hostel?

Comments appreciated!

Try El Dorado Both Platypus and Aragon are nice, but the best value for money in central bogota (12000 pesos for single room with private bath in 2003)is probably Hotel El Dorado. It's in Candelaria, 2-3 blocks from both Platypus and Aragon. For meeting poeple, however, Platypus is the best.
