Hello all, I am new to this forum but need good advice. I am moving to Columbia to live and will be searching for work, etc. I have enough money to carry me for 8 or 9 years (just in case) but am looking to teach advanced English or find technical work. I am told Bogata will be my best bet for this - is this correct? Currently I hold a great deal of management experience and several degrees (computer science, business management, and engineering). Although my normal trade is the money end of large development projects now, I am unsure if that will help me there. Where should I look and what should I concentrate on? I will eventually open my own business if the restrictions are not too tight and they let a gringo like me own. Is Bogata the place? Is Cartagena better for work, English classes, and also for a small business (namely an American-themed cafe with internet and American hats and jerseys / kind of a cross between an internet cafe and an american sports bar with american music)
I could use all the advice possible as I am firm in my choice and now need to set the agenda. Thank you in advance.
