I love Orchids and have been trying to buy some in the Cartagena area but no one seems to known about them where to buy them or even what they are. I even tried to find some when I was in Medellin but no luck. Does any one know where I can buy them in Colombia.

There are orchid societies in just about every department. There is a big national orchid show each year. I have seen it in Bogota and a smaller one in Cali. If I knew how to post pictures I would do that.

The best place to find out is to go the Botanical Garden and ask the staff where to buy orchids. Maybe we have a member here from Cartagena who knows.

Anybody ever hear of the Dracula Orchids. A very rare flower. Some dude in Boquete, Panama grows them. Do some checking on Orchids in Panama. Maybe you can get some insite. Possibly buy seeds.

A vivero in Cali that sells a variety of orchids including the big Catlaya is on the old Cali-Yumbo road about two blocks after you pass the road to Dapa.

This one grows along the road in the hills above Trujillo-Valle (actually on property owned by El Alacran). It has an incredable scent.
