Colombians visiting Panama

At the moment I am living in Panama and would like to have my g/f from Medellin visit me. Does anyone know the requirements, such as proof of funds etc for Colombians to visit Panama?

Any pointers or first hand experiences appreciated. Thanks.

panama ! love iT there ,i went there with my husband ...Im colombian but since Im a resident in norway and i was flying back to paris after panama... they didnt put me so much trouble to get in, since they have this policy of deporting people that they think should go back without reason they just do it.

first of all I advice you to pick her up ,if she goes alone they would probably think she is a prostitute like the thousand colombian girls that goes to be prostitutes there and they most likely wont let her in.

second you need to have in your pocket 500 usd to show in the airport and the yellow fever vaccination, if she is going to stay living with you in panama she must go to an office and ask for the residence... and make sure you two go to bocas to erikas & jose hotel in dolphin bay is the best place to stay

Check: http://www.empacol.org/site/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=33&I...
She needs:

1. Passport wiht at least 6 months of validity.
2. Roundtrip or onward ticket.
3. International Card (or Certificate) of Yellow Fever Vaccination (Vaccionation must occur at least 10 days before the trip)
4. 500 USD in cash on the person.
5. Tourism card that can be bought from the airline and is valid for 30 days.

They are very thorough with their requirements of entrance to Colombian citizens so make sure she has everything and in the required form.

gimmedub...you are dead wrong bro...as quick as she arrives she will be escorted back out! Laws have changed there especially against the Colombians. Since you are there already, just drop by the consulate, they will be happy to assist you and give you a document with the information you will need. They are very friendly and are willing to give personal assistance if needed, I was very impressed with the staff and the friendliness especially the honcho himself who took me in his office as we laughed and talked about art, my wife flipped out when she saw who I was rubbing elbows with. The U.S. Embassy (Globally...I do not need to comment about, leaves much to be desired!!)...Hope this helps.

There are two extremes, with viajero123 in the middle (but he has hit all the points).

The only other possibility is perhaps a police report, which was an issue for Colombians, maybe a year ago, after the government decided that Colombians were NOT going to be required visas.

But I've heard nothing recently. It might be one of those many Panamanian things that just don't get enforced, or simply went away. I do not see it mentioned on the immigration website:

bickerass ,is in bocas del toro ,taking a boat to the place call doplhin bay that is actually full of dolphins ...

the rates when i went were 120 usd per night and they offer personal tours around the area ,to many places each tours costs from 100 to 150 with the great advantage of having a boat just for yourself and not 20 more around...

this is the web page you just reserve and they will pick you up in the airport in bocas all our journey there costed like 900 usd or so for 6 days almost, then we went to boquete in chiriqui providence ,it was a total of 20 days in panama!!! love it I think is my first option when i retire haha
