Colombians normally always look thier age

And us for eating meat 3 times a day... Well let me tell you something! Do you know how much buying meat in Colombia costs? I mean can a poor family really afford to eat meat 3 times a day? They can even afford to eat once a day let alone 3! may be the more fortunate ones like in the middle or upper classes do but that's because they are lucky enough...

And yea may be Colombian cuisine is full of ingredients that might be bad for your health but we have been eating like these for centuries and you don't see us complaining may be our bodies are used to eat... i bet if a non Colombian person followed the same diet they would either sick or get fat in no time but our metabolisms are used to these unhealthy stuff and we love it! So bring on the arepas and empanadas!!

I agree with Mrs Gomes, in England people have more relaxing live, but saying that I notice here the men go bald at a very young age, which in Colombia is rare. We do have a bit of an unhealthy eating in Colombia o maybe no unhealthy but uneducated for example in my family a typical meal consist in rice, potatoes, yuca and meat, do we need all that carb in one meal?
English people don't eat healthy look at the problem they have with the kids now being very obese. Here in England people consume too much sauces and fat, and that's why the have a problem with overweight people.

As for looking younger, even people who know how old my wife is because I have told them, will later refer to her as a 35 year old. Even my mother does this. The reason - no one who sees her can imagine that she is older than 35 even though she is 44. Most of the time she passes for 30.

Colombian men seem to age fast, anyway. (Not mine, of course with me taking care of him:) Many men past fifty look ancient, with liver spots and totally gray hair. I wonder if it's genetic, caused by the heat and the intense sunshine or the diet.

honestly, i think colombian men/boys look younger than their age. i thought my friends were atleast a couple of years younger than they actually are. most of them,anyways. and the food...MMMMMMM!! no matter how unhealthy some people say it is, its alot healthier than what most people here in australia and home in europe eat. let alone America!! it cant honestly be that bad. the food. its like Mrs. Gomez, its gotta be the stress and worry. "happy" people dont get gray hairs and wrinkles, atleast not earlier than theyre supposed to! you know what I mean.

Well I think this is very true. Due to the fact that Colombia is so close the equator the levels of ultraviolet light rays are much higher - plus there is a huge hole in the ozone layer right over Bogota. People's skin age a little faster.

Points of View? I guess people have different points of view, this is the first time I have heard somebody not saying exactly the contrary. When ever I meet foreign people here in Colombia there are always compliments on how young people look obviously relative to the age. On the other hand, I guess it is not the food that keeps people young, because a diet based on fried food, frijoles and aguardiente is not what doctors call healthy.

They must be doing something right, I didn't see any fat people my entire trip to Columbia. Some of the older wemen where a little heavier, but nothing like the fat people in the United States. Weather its a better diet, lack of a regular diet, genes or the weather sweats everyone thin, I thought people looked very healthy.
