The Newark Public Library is pleased to showcase the presence and history of one of the fastest growing Hispanic groups in New Jersey – Colombians. The exhibit will portray the Colombian community in NJ as seen through their art, music, literature, news accounts and communications, and will feature information on immigration, community leaders, festivals, oral histories, civic organizations, and much more.

The exhibition will be installed on the main library’s second-floor gallery, from September 12 through October 22. It is on view during library hours: Monday, Friday and Saturday from 9am to 5:30pm; and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am to 8:30pm. That's great!!! I was born in Bucaramanga and grew up in Hamilton, New Jersey. I am now living in South Carolina and wish I could make the festival. How awesome that would be...I don't know much about where I came from and really would love to make my heritage a part of my everyday life.

It is awesome!!!!! I also grew up in New Jersey, "The Garden State" Paterson, NJ. Graduated from East Side High School and Montclair State University, Upper Montclair, NJ
I now live in "The Lone Star state" Texas.
