FINLANDIA, QUINDIO: The Fiesta del Canasto was held over the holiday weekend, featuring regional handicrafts made of bejuco wood, and a very popular Jeepao competition. Teams of contestants worked to see who could push a Jeepao up the city's main hill in the shortest amount of time. Jeepaos are typical jeeps from Colombia's coffee country, used to carry bags of beans.

CUCUTA, NORTE DE SANTANDER: Police are searching for the body of a 6-year old girl who was attacked by giant Caiman while fishing with her father. Police say the Caiman jumped out of the water and grabbed the girl with its jaws, pulling her into the Sardinata River. The Caiman was captured and destroyed.
