You need to experience it. They seem shy in public, but are the complete opposite in private.

Someone told me they are uninhibited about sex as their religion values the soul instead of the body, so when it comes to using their bodies anything goes.

It's quite common for japanese to talk about bodily functions (all of them, not just sexual ones) at the dinner table. It's really a myth that japanese are shy. They only appear that way when they are tourists and trying not to offend anyone.

And anyway, who the hell knows what they are saying? They could be making some outrageous proposal to you and you wouldn't even know it. Your waitress probably said something like 'take me home big injun man' and you thought she said 'thank you'.

Have you heard they discontinued the costenita (beer)? At least that's what people were saying around Xmas / New Year, all the tiendas ran out and said they weren't gonna make it any more.
