Well, just as I'm about to be deported, it seems I've finally arrived.
I've got my first Colombian wedding on Saturday. I'll be wearing a "smoking", and I understand we will be given the opportunity to stuff cash into a box on the table. Anything I'm missing in terms of etiquette? Anything I should know folks?

john_stark says on Nov 7, 2007, 17:00: Are you single? They have a custom where all the single guys stuff their cedulas (or passports) into a bag and the bride draws them out one by one. The last lucky guy gets to take the bride's garter off with his teeth. It's optional but you can eat her out at the same time you're getting the garter. You'll be under her dress so no one except you (and her) will know what the hell you're doing under there.
