Colombian Travel Agencies / Sites

I would like to plan a trip to either Cartagena or San Andres this summer and I am looking for a good package deal. We would be flying out of Bogota.

Can anyone recommend a good travel agency or website in Colombia? I would want to book and pay for the trip in Colombia.

Thanks,
CG

Travel Agent Specializing In Travel To Colombia Here is a good travel agent specializing in Colombia, himself and most of is staff is Colombian, and Latin America.

I have been using and recommending this guy for years and he always comes through with good prices.

Thanks Bob However, I specifically want to buy the package in Colombia. I want to pay in pesos as it is almost always cheaper.

For example, if I buy a ticket from Avianca over the phone from the US, it usually costs twice as much as if I have someone buy it for me in Colombia. I am not about to pay the Gringo tax.

I am going to call your guys anyway. Thanks.

Peace

Cartagena Hotels & More Check the directory of www.caribenet.com for Cartagena hotels, apartments etc. No real package deals as most of the listings are small hotels. You will have to book flights on your own. - There is also a listing with flights, - Bravofly is quick and easy.

Travel Agencies in Cartagena check out Home Pages of Cartagena Travel Agencies at:

http://www.cartagenainfo.net/negocios/?categoria=AGENCIASDEVIAJE&lang=ENG

Before you depart, send each of the Agencies identical E mails detailing exactly what you are looking for. Then monitor their response time and answers to your E mail. This should be a good indicator as to who will provide you with the best service.

The Guide to Cartagena (with more than 800 pages if printed)at: WWW.CARTAGENAINFO.NET
is all about FACTS, CONTACTS, RESULTS AND MORE THAN 2,000 CARTAGENA PHOTOGRAPHS.

Good Luck, and enjoy Cartagena

Thanks for the info folks.
I Thanks for the info folks.

I want to take my girl on a nice trip after she finishes this semester. Unfortunately, I found out that there are two back to back "festivo" weekends during the dates(mid June) we want to travel. I can imagine that Cartagena will be packed to the gills. Does San Andres get too slammed on holiday weekends?

I called Aviatur yesterday and they are emailing some info. I think Deskubra is affiliated with Avianca. They offered me a three night stay with airfare, hotel, two meals a day at the Hotel Las Americas for $1.385.000 per person. For a non festivo weekend they said it would be $1.285.000. DO these seem like good prices. Also, how is that hotel?

Thanks again,

CG

How can anyone use those web sites without a secured web page? Are you willing to submit your credit card when there is no page security encryption?

webmanco says on Jun 7, 2007, 18:20:

Security encryption is activated in websites supporting online payment only when you are actually in their payment gateway. You only know if you are in a secure gateway payment if you see the s after http on the addres or url.

Now the question is how do some people in North America give away their credit card number over the phone to marketers who to start with change their spanish or indian name to a more North American one?

webmanco Do you mean that even though the web page where I enter the credit card is not encrypted that when I click submit, the transaction goes encrypted? Hmm? Let me try to see what happens.

Sorry, but at this web site, I just submitted the form, and never went thru an https:// type of server. I didn't even get an error when I know the information submitted is not correct.

Hello, Bob,
your comment about the very reliable operator is very good. but i really can't make the name from your sentence: "Travel Agent Specializing In Travel To Colombia Here is a good travel agent specializing in Colombia, himself and most of is staff is Colombian, and Latin America.

I have been using and recommending this guy for years and he always comes through with good prices."

So what's the name of the company?

I understand that America Travel is another company that you are recommending, right?

Look forward to hearing from you! thanks
