I am an American living and working in Medellin and am trying to find a way to stay through December though my tourist visa and all extensions run out in mid-October. Is there any way to get a further extension? What is the price of overstaying your visa by 2 months? Can I leave to Panama or Ecuador for 3 days and be entitled to another 60 days?
Also, I have considered taking a class or two at EAFIT University....is it possible to easily obtain a short term student visa? Would I have to be a full time student?
Thanks for the help. . . any info on how I might be able to stay in Medellin 2 months longer than my allotted 6 months would be much appreciated.

Anything I can do to ensure or at least help it be half?
