Hola!

The America football team from Cali was banned to have business dealings with US companies and their assets were frozen in the US, since the President Clinton made an Executive order.

I wonder if people can buy their jerseys anymore!

America de Cali is in a so called "Lista Clinton". You can buy their jerseys... The team these days struggles financially as many of its transfer funds have been held.. Also until recently the team had no sponsor. Though maintaining clean books for several years, the only way for the team to come off the list appears to be a change in ownership.

btw, money laundering doesn't necessarily mean investment in the team...

Isn't still one of the owners the son of that guy Orejuela? From what I understand the guy is clean but then again, que familia!

Juan Miguel Rodriguez... doesn't actually show up on the list as an owner but one wonders what he does at the club's training facilities all the time...

Hola!

People in Cali think that America is no longer affiliated with the mafiosos. I wonder if the USA still thinks it.
