Thanks for the information. One question how did you get here at PBH, how did you find out about the website, Peter´s website.

this seems like a good project to take on. I like to get my news right from the source though, however I'll let you guys know what I think from time to time.

Gracias...what a treat. When I get a chance I will check this out. Many times, plugging a translator program into these sites can produce some amazing results jeje (not good)

Your thoughtfullness and time taken to do this is appreciated ;))

What prompted this BTW? (besides a delightful suprise to some of our members) It might also be helpful to a few members here that need to brush up on their English too (and compare). When I am able I will check your site

Thank you again - and Welcome

Thank you all for your encouraging comments. Whenever you have critisism, let me know whatever way.

at webmanco,
it's hard to look for information about Colombia without encountering PBH :-) I was thinking that exactly here are people who may be interested in what we do.

at Romy,
We try to link to source articles as much as possible (unless all media bring the same news). I hope you'll find it time saving finding the news in one place instead of scattered over the internet. Or do you prefer, for example, a bunch of links to local media on the bottom of an article?

Colombiareports.com-
the thing is that I read a lot of news from different places and different sources as I need to consider different perspectives for world events. I haven't read too much of what you guys have put together (to know yours) but any news service has an inherent bias. So right now my favorite method is goggle news which gives me access to thousands of news services in all the languages I can read. which can be overwhelming for many but I like to read all sorts of things so it keeps me updated and entertained. as far as colombia news, I can easily access any news that even mentions Colombia (again in all these languages) within seconds.
So for someone that just has time to go to one site and see what's new in Colombia in English sure your site looks to be very promising, just for me it doesn't quite fit the bill.

btw, Is it original reporting you do? or pretty much a news translating service (which is very useful for many in itself)?

at Romy,

We're just starting here. What we try to do, with hardly any resources and voluntarily, is basically sum up what happens in Colombia, trying to show a little more than just the obvious FARC and cocaine. We've had some unique content and will upload some videos of cultural phenomenons soon, but unless everyone suddenly starts clicking the Google Ads massively or ten reporters call in, we'll probably have to stick to covering the existing media and put an extra focus on things most media forget about. If you're the news junk you seem to be (respect for that), you're going to be damn hard to please for us, but we're definitely going to try ;-)

at Doc William,
I wish we could have done more too, but I swear we did our best. Do not forget the other news. Karina's being hyped obviously, but let's not forget the disappeared hard disks and sim cards from the paramilitary chiefs.
