Colombian Muslims

Any body ever seen a muslim colombiana? IN COLOMBIA? How do they dress? cover? meaning do they follow the traditional arab culture style? For instance, Indian Muslim women still follow Indian culture in the way they dress....is there a Colombian woman culture dress to incorporate with the Muslim tradition?

I met one... i met a muslim woman one day... she was taking her laptop for a rapair, and i was buying one. We talked a lot, she's a teacher in a private university here in medellin, adevrtiser i think. The way she dressed? she wasn't covered (her face), and she had a dress that looked indian to me. She also had the weirdest shoes i've ever seen, and she was born in colombia and spoke perfect paisa. I was surprised to meet her, she was so more occidental tha i thaugth a caolombian muslim would be... she's the only one i've seen in medellin, born in medellin.

thanks for replying ...to such a random question.
one more please?
Was only hair covered or her neck too?
There's the arguement on how Muslim women should cover, some say just hair, some say neck, ears and hair, only exposing the face and hands. Feet need to be covered too.
Some, like the Indian Muslims, only cover their hair when they are going to pray but other times just loosely cover their hair.

Barranquilla My wife tells me that there are a lot of Muslims in Barranquilla, mainly form Lebanon (Shakira's family)and Turkey. They are pretty much second or third generation Colombians and part of society.

Lebanese Most of the Lebanese that migrated to Colombia are actually Christian Lebanese although in the last few years more Muslim Lebanese have migrated also.

You can visit so Maicao. There there is the biggest mosque in Latin America, though the Colombian Muslims are a real minority. There you can find Muslim women and men wearing Arab Muslim clothing.
