Colombian music in NYC area

Somebody PLEASE post about good Colombian music anywhere in or near NYC. Where is it, when can you see it, how much does it cost, is it as good as it is down there, etc. Or even Andean music or Bolivian music or Venezuelan or Brazilian or whatever. Actually I know of a couple of Brazilian things downtown that happen on a weekly are good to go see, but I won't post them unless someone asks for them as they are a little off-topic.
I used to love seeing the groups at the places in Queens where I played 4-6 years ago as part of a duo act in Jackson Heights and other neighborhoods. Is there ANYWHERE that still has live music on a daily (nightly) basis? I can never go on Saturdays as I am always playing, but if you know something good on Saturday, post it for someone else who might want to go. I know some places in Astoria have the old salsa guys playing from time to time, but it seems very sporadic.

What about the Aterciopelados shows or are you not looking for Colombian alternative music, do you want traditional stuff?

La cumbiamba eneye There are very good colombian musicians playing and living in New York.
La cumbiamba eneye is a very good gaita group, that plays cumbia, porro, bullerengue...en fin... You can check out their website at www.lacumbiambaeneye.com or there is Folklore Urbano, directed by calenno musician called Pablo Mayor. Or Coba music, the music of Sebastian Cruz...Or Lucia guerrero, who used to sing for Ivan y Lucia and who now lives in nY and is making beautiful colombian music...
all of them are constantly playing around NY. You can find info at their web sites or in Time Out or The Village Voice.

kernow: I'm more looking for places that have music every night, so that when I DO get some free time, I can just go and not have to worry about when it is. I'm talking about like little clubs. The only places I know of have shows real early in the evening or only on Saturdays, or only once in a blue moon. I would really like to find even ONE place that has decent live music 6-7 days a week, and hopefully doesn't end too early either.

I actually saw Aterciopelados when they came to Lehman College, which is walking distance from my home. It wasn't a good show, maybe their regular soundman couldn't make it in, because shit was really all over the place. And I've heard that system in that theater sound BEAUTIFUL. I'm also not a huge fan of that new album either, but they did play some old stuff.

SOB's is a Good place SOB's has live music every night. It's not always colombian, but they have a few colombian bands play. They actually held a 2o de julio concert which was excellent.

SOBS was one of the downtown places I didn't want to post at the beginning of the thread. There is also a place on Av B that has a Forro in the Dark every Tuesday? Wednesday? It ends super early though, like around midnight. Then Cafe Wha has the Brazuca band Mondays and Tuesdays. They are actually a very very good band, and they cover ALL of Brazilian music which is no mean feat. That coked up percussionist makes me crack up!!

Anything else going on in the five boroughs that I'm missing?
